Jennifer Ruf
As Founder and Creative Director of the award-winning Rufhaus Designs, Jennifer Ruf possesses more than a decade of experience in marketing, advertising and publishing. Over the course of her career, she has been the driving force behind award-winning magazine revamps, compelling custom publications, effective targeted communications and successful corporate branding initiatives.

Strategic, versatile, talented and extremely responsive, Jennifer has a strong track record of delivering high quality work for a wide range of clients such as American Express Publishing, The Broadway Association, Brooks Brothers, CFO Studio Magazine, Con Edison, Northstar Travel Media, AXA Financial and many other organizations.

Prior to starting her own firm in 2000, she was on staff at Nielsen Business Media and Time Warner Inc. Before that she spent time at Graphis Inc., a design publishing house where she worked on a series of design annuals.

Through hard work, original thinking, fresh layouts and a natural ability to communicate concepts to vast audiences, Jennifer consistently wins national awards including the more recent APEX Publication Excellence for the Q1 2013 issue of CFO Studio magazine. In addition, LogoLounge featured her work in its "Typography & Enclosures” 4th Master Library Series.


Denise Asaro
Denise Asaro brings over sixteen years of continuous knowledge in pre-press, conventional offset web, sheet fed printing, digital printing and large format printing.

Prior to joining Rufhaus she worked in print production for fashion designer Kenneth Cole, learned to dress exclusively in black and was responsible for producing everything from advertising campaigns to product hangtags.

At both Seiter & Miller and Len Dugow & Associates, she produced all print advertising and collateral material, kept everything on schedule and the clients happy. The opportunity to work for Brooks Brothers left the door wide open to expand into direct mail, store set graphics, barricades, billboards and signage as well as advertising.


Julie Barker
Julie Barker draws on more than 20 years' experience creating custom content and editing B-to-B magazines. Formerly a full-time staff editor at VNU Business Media, Julie started her own company in 2003 and joined Rufhaus Designs in 2012. Her forte is thought leader profiles for CFO Studio magazine. She has created magazine supplements for major clients like Visit Britain and the Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and has written for websites,, and

A meticulous wordsmith, she has edited content for online products as well as print. She has twice been awarded Folio Editorial Excellence awards (2001 Gold, 2000 Silver); has been honored with American Business Media’s Jesse H. Neal award (2000); and has had client work honored by American Business Media.



Daria Meoli
With nearly 15 years experience as a journalist, Daria Meoli covered everything from politics to pole dancing, and has significant experience covering entrepreneurship, finance, healthcare, dining, and women’s issues and parenting. Most recently, Daria was the executive editor of The New York Enterprise Report. She also was managing editor at New Jersey Monthly magazine. She held the position of assistant director of corporate communications at FOJP, a non-profit insurance services organization.

She began her journalism career as obituary writer (it’s actually less creepy than it sounds), news clerk and Community section writer at The Record, the second largest circulating daily newspapers in New Jersey. Daria was associate editor at Pharmagenomics, a biotechnology trade magazine. Somewhere in between all of that, Daria served as a production editor at John Wiley & Sons and contributed to New Jersey Bride and NY Arts magazines.


Marty Daks
A former accountant who studied at Pace University and has a degree in Journalism from SUNY New Paltz, Marty Daks migrated from green eyeshades to business writing more than 15 years ago. Before joining Rufhaus, the award-winning journalist covered accounting, banking, business, finance and law at NJBIZ for about a decade, and has written for the New Jersey Law Journal, the University of Pennsylvania’s Knowledge@Wharton, Emory University’s Knowledge@Emory, Mass Market Retailer, Chain Drug Review and other publications. He has also collaborated with Big 4 accounting firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG, on thought leadership articles and other assignments.
